Online betting in Spain

Spain’s Law 13/2011 created the national framework for online gambling. The DGOJ licenses operators and publishes a searchable register of companies and domains. Sports betting, casino games, poker and other products may be offered only when both the operator and the game category are authorised.

Enter through the DGOJ list and match the exact domain. The .es address is an important signal for nationally licensed service, but always confirm the register. A foreign licence, Spanish-language support or euro account does not replace Spanish authorisation.

Account, bonus and payment checks

Participation is for adults aged 18 or over. Licensed operators must identify users and publish clear rules. Complete document checks inside the official account area.

  • Read bonus wagering, expiry and maximum-win clauses before opting in.
  • Check withdrawal verification, limits and expected processing times.
  • Use a payment method in your own name and keep transaction records.
  • Never pay an extra tax or release fee to receive a balance.

Cards, bank payments and digital wallets may be available, but their logos do not prove licensing. Reject remote-access requests and protect passwords and one-time codes.

Complaints and self-exclusion

Raise a dated written complaint with the operator and preserve bet IDs, statements and accepted terms. Use the operator’s stated dispute route and DGOJ channels for unresolved regulatory issues. Contact the payment provider immediately in a suspected fraud.
